These are just a few examples of lives touched by the Volunteer Ministers program. It is one of the vital programs funded by IAS grants and made possible through your support.

Thanks to IAS support, the growing force of trained Volunteer Ministers (VMs) are bringing help whenever and wherever needed across the globe. VMs are trained to deliver LRH technology to people in their communities—providing practical tools for everyday problems of life.

The 19 Scientology Handbook: Tools for Life courses are available online to anyone at any time and the IAS provides grants for Internet ads to direct people to the website. Here are some of the recent wins students have had on these courses:

INTEGRITY AND HONESTY

“This course helped me to understand my own behavior and to understand why there are consequences I have in certain areas of my life. Now I know how to deal with that. It was a first step of the journey to myself—to confront my past—and there is still a lot more to be done. Another realization I had was about what is right and what is wrong. It was like a curtain fell down and I looked at things in a totally different light. I realized my freedom lies in my own hands. Many times I was seeking and dreaming about freedom without even realizing that I have the keys to my own created cage. It is a great feeling and I will definitely apply it to all areas of my life. I will share this knowledge with my friends and loved ones. Thank you.” —L.F., Germany

ANSWERS TO DRUGS

“I learned the reasons why people have drug problems and how it affects the mind. I learned ways to help someone get off drugs, to stay clean and also how to clean out their system with the drug rundown. I even learned how to make cal-mag. There was so much information that I never knew before I took this course. I will take this information and use it to help others.” —M.J., USA

COMPONENTS OF UNDERSTANDING

“This course has significantly helped me in my workplace, as communication is key in my line of work. I didn’t realize how and why people acted the way they did in regards to communication. This course has helped me understand the how and why of communication, reality, affinity and how they are interrelated. I never realized before how much one depends and relies on the other. My communication with others and the understanding of others has really helped me become better at my job and for that I am very thankful!” —T.B., USA

BASICS OF ORGANIZING

“It’s informative, especially if you are working with a team of people. I work alone but the benefit for me was being able to separate the different hats that I wear to finish the product and that made me able to organize better.” —E.G., USA
